Our Herbs

The idea of growing aromatic herbs in Colle di Fonte di Brescia came to us from nature—the natural surroundings of our fields, where biodiversity flourishes and the bees from our small apiary are always on the lookout for nectar to gather. And so, in 2023, we planted our first six varieties: lavender, rosemary, thyme, hyssop, oregano, and savory. The following year, we planted helichrysum cuttings that we propagated ourselves, taken from the fragrant yellow-flowered bushes that abound in our mountains. To reduce costs, we decided to forgo organic certification, which represents a significant expense for a small business like ours. The authenticity of our herbs is easily verifiable. Anyone who comes to visit us will easily see that using fertilizers and herbicides to grow aromatic herbs doesn’t make much sense

Managing a farm on land that had lain fallow for more than thirty years was (and still is) an extremely tough battle fought only with a hoe. However, little by little, the first signs of success began to appear

In the summer of 2024, we extracted our first essential oil from lavender and thyme. The lavender oil (Grossò variety) turned out to be particularly fragrant—so much so that, starting with an initial batch produced for the 2025 Christmas holidays, we decided to make it the main ingredient in a line of natural cleansers that guests at the agritourism will find in their room bathrooms. Thanks to the Evo.Co laboratory in Urbisaglia—which uses only natural, low-impact ingredients—we produce liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion. We’ll also soon be introducing an intimate cleanser and foot cream made with thyme oil.
